Dawkins & Dawkins are the trendsetting Gospel duo who have an unmistakable sound and style compared to none. It has been ten years since brothers Anson and Eric Dawkins’ last album FROM NOW ON, and fans have been waiting for new music. They have returned to unleash a vault of new music that represents their best creative work and synergetic flow.
Dawkins & Dawkins have introduced their 4-volume music series NEVER GETS OLD, which is an epic contribution to their existing impressive catalog. They released two volumes this year via Legacy Music Groups record label. Vol 1: LOVE & LIGHT, which featured the hit single “In My Feelings” and a guest appearance by Mr. Talkbox on “Fire”. Vol 2: FAITH & FAVOR is eight tracks strong and includes “Trust” (feat. Alic Walls) and their new radio single “Come By Here”.
“The concept behind releasing this multiple volume series is to give fans an abundance of content to enjoy since they have been waiting for 10-years for a new project,” says Legacy Music Groups CEO Jovan Dawkins. “This idea was presented to us by longtime D&D friend DJ Mal-Ski.”
When asked about the NEVER GETS OLD series, Dawkins & Dawkins say, “We want to continue to put out music that provokes thought and emotion. Music that you can play ten years from now and still feel that it is relevant. Music transports people to a better place either through reflection or through hope, and in today’s times, people need hope more than ever!”
Dawkins & Dawkins have the aptitude for creating sweet melodies of reverence or a groove track with a bounce on it. The common thread is the message. People need Love and Light now more than ever in our current turbulent global pandemic, civil unrest, and racial tension. And, through Faith and Favor, people need the everlasting confidence that the Lord will Come by Here.
Eric and Anson were raised in the church and groomed as young musicians, constantly honing their writing skills. Their time dedicated to creating music in the church led to them being discovered and signed by Fred Hammond of the legendary group, Commissioned. Anson has served as a Music Minister and Worship Pastor for 20+ years in the Pacific Northwest and currently serves at Life Center in Tacoma, WA. Eric has been writing music for over 30 years with some of today’s top artists and consults on the Masked Singer.
Dawkins & Dawkins have a career span of 27 years. Some of their past projects include DAWKINS & DAWKINS, 1993 (A&M), NECESSARY MEASURES, 1994 (CGI) FOCUS, 1998 (Harmony), and FROM NOW ON, 2011 (Light/Entertainment One). The Stellar Award and Dove Award-nominated group has toured with Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, Take 6, Men of Standard, and appeared with R&B crooner Joe. The brothers are managed by industry vet Silas White and SWG Management. White is best known for his A&R Grammy-winning work for Justin Timberlake amongst his many successful entertainment and sports clients.
Eric and Anson hope to continue to be known and respected as trailblazers and pioneers in the music field.
